Barlow Homes has successfully built houses in the Bluegrass for over 40 years. James Barlow, Sr., CEO and founder, began residential construction in the late 50's. He has since been a crucial part of development in and around Lexington. A life director of the Lexington Home Builder's Association since the late 80's, Barlow also served as the president of this organization for two terms.

Barlow incorporated his home construction business in 1979 and has focused on building communities. Barlow Homes has successfully built houses that range from $120,000 to over $1 million. These residential neighborhoods are in prime locations in central Kentucky and have been created to meet the buyer's demands.

Over the years Barlow Homes has developed over 100 floor plans as well as 40 communities in surrounding areas including Louisville. The Barlow's have built homes for multiple generations of families and have lived in several floor plans they have produced.

Listening to the customer and adapting to progressive trends is how Barlow Homes has crafted so many innovative plans. They continue to be a vital force in this industry and will be around for years to come.

Congratulations on the purchase of your new Barlow Home. Landon Travis is our Customer Care Center Coordinator and he and his team will handle all of your warranty needs. Barlow Homes offers a One Year Limited Warranty on your new home as well as a 2/10 Structural Warranty on the foundation.

As a member of the National Association of Home Builders, Barlow Homes follows the NAHB limited warranty guidelines. You will receive a limited warranty manual at the time you sign the contract of your new home. Your Sales Associate will provide and discuss with you the items of your home that are covered.

If you have any questions regarding the warranty of your new Barlow Home, please submit those questions in writing to your Sales Associate. Your Sales Associate will relay these items to Barlow Homes in order for us to track and respond appropriately.

Our Customer Care Coordinator will meet with you on two occasions before you close on your home. Landon Travis will meet you and your Sales Associate at the home and perform an orientation one to two weeks prior to the completion of your Barlow Home.

Mr. Travis will also meet with you and your Sales Associate once your home is completed. This meeting takes place at your home the day of the closing. He will explain to you all of the features of your new home and the limited warranty process. (This process is subject to change as we are constantly trying to improve our customer satisfaction.)

Currently we offer you a 3 to 4 Week Warranty Form and a One Year Warranty Form. You can mail, fax or e-mail your six month or one year warranty list to our Customer Care Center. Once Barlow Homes has received your list, an appointment with a customer care representative will be scheduled so that your list can be reviewed in detail. Your warranty start date will begin with the date of your closing. The six month or one year warranty list should be mailed, faxed or e-mailed one month prior to your six month or one year anniversary date. This will allow Barlow Homes to provide the utmost courteous, reliable service and timely completion of your warranty list.
